My new blog - Intro

im starting this one now mainly because I'm off of posting on FB and want to be able to update you, my friend on my life.

Before I start talking (writing) about me, I want to record a few things about my genius son Rayden Robert.

He is 43 months old (3 years 7 months) today- yesterday he asked me to count 1-100 in French as I washed his hair in the shower. He made me do it twice, even though he only usually likes to go to 20 when washing hair.

Hes been counting to 100 in English and Spanish since before he was 2. His favorite video to watch now fluctuates between a time lapse counter of numbers from 0 to centillion (and a whole bunch of variety in between, where he will ask for specific videos of related titles he sees... decillion, unvigintillion, sexagintillion, and novemninagintillion), Number blocks animation of 7 vs. 12345 (where they show that a pyramid is made up of successive squares, each a little smaller, doing the math of each one, I.e. 49x49, 47x47, 45x45, then adding them all together), or highlights of someone's monogamy compilation of Mario Party (where he has learned such words as "Start," and "Finish" as well as Mario, Luigi, and the other characters in the series).

When Rayden is not watching videos of numbers on his phone or TV or creating numbers on his easel, he loves to play any game with any type of ball - basketball, football, soccer - often into the basketball hoop, though lately he has really taken to soccer outside in the driveway.

I've been pretty consistently averaging a 2am bedtime the last year or two, but it's taking a toll.. I'm jsut so tired in the morning. So it's 12:18am now (Amy and I had an early show, I was home by 9:30pm even with setting up pianos and shells) and I'm done. Thanks for reading this far :)
